About London Surgical Centre(Sunnah Circumcision Clinic)

This service is led by a consultant surgeon Mr. (Dr.) Mohammad Hossain Howlader (also known simply as Dr Mohammad or Dr Mohammad Hossain or Dr Howlader). He has also provided service at Noor ul Islam mosque (Nurul Islam masjid), Leytonstone and As-sunnah Islamic Centre, Tottenham mosque, Brixton and the Spitalfields Practice in the past.

Presently, we are only based in LMC, previously based at The Maryam Centre as a CQC rated and regulated service provider, next door to the London Muslim Centre (LMC) and East London Mosque (ELM), Whitechapel. We mostly provide services at weekends and school holidays, but we are open every day for bookings.

Although the Maryam Centre is part of the East London Mosque (ELM) and the London Muslim Centre (LMC), London Surgical Centre is an independent service provider.

The London Surgical Centre is a specialist provider of circumcisions for males, and other minor surgical operations. We pride ourselves in providing safe surgical procedures for all our patients.

The Spitalfields Practice

Sunnah circumcision clinic used to perform procedures at this renowned practice. We have now moved to Maryam centre, Fieldgate street.

Care Quality Commission

The London Surgical Centre is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England and makes sure the health and social care services are provided to people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and they encourage health practices to improve.

CQC rating is Good.

Baby Circumcisions

The best time for a circumcision is when a child is still a baby. This ensures the best comfort possible. However, we provide circumcisions for boys of all ages.

 Post-Operative Care

Our doctor is available 24-hours a day, for your peace of mind after surgery, to help should any difficulties arise after a procedure.

Children Circumcisions

We carry out circumcisions for children and older boys at London Surgical Centre in East London at the Maryam Centre. London circumcision clinic is a separate independent entity.

 Minor Surgery

Our highly experienced NHS consultant surgeon also performs minor surgery under local anaesthetic among other procedures in this clinic.

Adult Circumcisions

The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention has found male circumcisions could help decrease the risk of HIV and sexually transmitted infections.

Home Visit Circumcision

Home visit is not advisable as per regulators and is not safe from infection control and resuscitation point of view.

We are compliant with the cultural and religious need of our patients

We perform circumcisions in accordance with religious belief, cultural need and traditions as we have staff from diverse background (please inform us beforehand if you have any special request). In fact, this has been the common practice for all religions who are originated from Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) (AS) i.e. all Abrahamic religions. We are regulated by the CQC and our staffs are registered with professional bodies such as GMC and BMA and we also work in the NHS. We have inclusive service policy.
